Grief as Connector

“Grief and love are sisters, woven together from the beginning. Their kinship reminds us that there is no love that does not contain loss and no loss that is not a reminder of the love we carry for what we once held close.”

Francis Weller

Grief Community Group

While grief is an inherent visitor of life, bound by the certainty of birth and death, frequently we become lost in navigating the waters of this powerful teacher. Our ancestors knew that grief cannot be managed alone. In order for grief to follow its natural movement, it must be witnessed. And by participating in this process of being witnessed and witnessing, we unveil the precious gems of grief . We learn the life-giving teachings of compassion – that it is through our suffering that we find our way back into connection. And we come to see that we the other side of grief is praise for the life lived.
